Miles End Lodge is at the site of the original Kingston Canyon Ranch from the 1860s. One of the cabins is an original structure to the ranch, and another is from the 1920s. Kingston itself is a historic town, the vision of cowboy and rancher Carl Haas. Kingston was created and constructed in the 1970s. Carl Haas had the vision to build a little European Village at the mouth of Kingston Canyon. The property sits at the center of this small frontier community. Miles End Lodge was Carl’s own house, his Valhalla — hall of the Nordic gods. The tall rock building was constructed with local stones from the Kingston Canyon. It took over five people three years to build.

From Highway 50, turn south onto Nevada Route 376 at the large billboard, travel 14 miles to 1st entrance, drive another 2 miles to the second entrance marked  "Kingston 2" and by large road sign indicating Kingston Health Center, turn west, past the hairpin curve and the windmill. Then, turn left in front of the pond to Sunny Way. We are across the Kingston General Store, in the big rock house, you found us!

Very nice B&B in the middle of Nevada. Gorgeous location. We really enjoyed our wood fired Hot Tub while enjoying a beautiful sunset in the west and a thunderstorm in the east. We had a very comfortable room and the lodge was awesome. A great place to get away and relax. Planning our next visit back.

We were travelling between Wells and Reno and needed to find somewhere to stay around Austin. Well, what a find!
It was a dark and windy extra 20 miles over the mountain pass to Kingston, but the gorgeous stone cabins and comfy beds were a sight for tired eyes.
Candace and Greg are wonderful hosts, welcoming and chatty. The local pub was excellent too with genuine people up for a chat with out a device in sight.
Top it off with a soak in the hot tub stargazing and feel the 21st century wash away....
Good luck to you all in Kingston, you are the real deal!

This is the best place to stay along The Loneliest Road In America!! Escape to unexpected rural luxury. I couldn’t believe there was a wood fired hot tub, private bar, and delicious dinners too! The vibe is so fun and Lucky Spur Saloon is next door. If you have time to stay longer you can do other outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, hunting, ATVing, 4x4, ghost towns, geocaching, hot springs, and much more.

The rustic and rugged exterior of this lodge was definitely inviting and I couldn’t wait to get inside to cozy up from being on the road! Their suite did not disappoint! They kept the room warm and even had a plush terry cloth robe hanging. They are open all winter months now!

This is an excellent rest stop for those traveling from California to the Utah canyon land. It is about 3.5 hours east of Reno, so about halfway. Only 10 miles off Route 50, Miles End is located in Kingston, a tiny town with about 80 inhabitants. There is a general store and a saloon within walking distance, both worth a visit. Chad and Candace just took over within the last year but both clearly love what they do and are exceedingly gracious hosts. The accommodations are very comfortable. Breakfasts are included and are very tasty (eggs benedict for our visit). Dinner is extra, but you should sign up for it -- a great value, and probably your only option in Kingston.

We stopped here while on Highway 50, for two nights. The place is really incredible, from the food to the lodging. Jon and Ann are the perfect innkeepers, relaxed and in tune to your every need. Fruit trees and grape vines grace the lovely grounds, where deer meander and nibble the plums. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had at a B and B. There is also a restaurant and bar in the main house, which is rustic and loaded with character and charm. It is nestled in a little western ranch style community, where we found a few hiking trails and rocks with silver streaks from the old silver mines. It is out the way, but worth the drive to this beautiful, perfect place.

I stopped here with my mother and my dog for the last night of our 3 week road trip across the US and back. What a great way to end our time on the road! Miles End was clean, comfortable and cute. We stayed in the one pet friendly room which was great, and very affordable. We also had dinner and breakfast in the main lodge on the property. The food was great, and we loved the hunting lodge decor. John and Anne were very friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed talking to them, sharing stories, and learning about the Kingston area. I wish we could have stayed more than one night. The location was beautiful, and it seemed like there was a lot of hiking/exploring to do in the surrounding mountains. One thing to note is that it's a really remote location, about a 15 minute drive off of highway 50 in central NV. For us this was perfect, but don't go expecting a bustling metropolis!
